What it is

A Trough coin's creator fee wallet is a Hydra fanout on Solana, created by the creator at launch. Every creator fee the Genesis protocol charges lands in that fanout. Holders pull up to the trough by staking their coins in it, and the fanout splits what comes in among them. Slop never holds the fees, never holds your coins, and never signs a payout.

Who eats

Anyone who has staked. Your share of everything that arrives after you pull up is your staked amount over the total staked at that moment, as the program computes it at each distribution. Nothing that arrived before you pulled up is yours. Leave whenever you like: leaving pays you out first, then returns your coins. Auto pull up, on by default and switchable in any stake sheet or in your Bag, sends one more transaction after each buy of a Trough coin that stakes what you just bought. It is the same instruction as tapping Pull up, signed by your wallet, and the program takes one stake per wallet: adding coins to an existing stake means leaving (paid out first) and pulling up again with everything.

Feeding time

At the top of every hour Slop's crank sweeps each coin's creator fee off the curve into its trough and distributes to every staker. The crank only pays transaction fees; every instruction it sends is permissionless, so anyone can run it, and any staker can eat early by distributing to themselves. A trough with nobody staked is left on the curve until someone pulls up.

Standings

Coins rank by what is in the trough right now: the creator fee accrued on the curve plus anything swept and not yet distributed. The crank empties every trough at feeding time, so this is what the hour distributes. Ties go to more stakers, then a larger staked share. Ranking awards placement only.

Risks

Staked coins leave your wallet and cannot be sold until you leave the trough. The fanout program, the Genesis protocol and Solana are third-party software: a bug, an upgrade or a failed transaction can delay or prevent a distribution. Fees depend entirely on trading in the coin and may be nothing. Tokens can go to zero. Nothing on Slop is financial advice.

What it is not

No prize pool, no chance, no platform payout. Nothing here is a promise of income: fees depend entirely on trading, and a trough can stay empty. Slop may pause its own surfaces and its crank at any time; the fanouts keep working without it. Residents of the United Kingdom and of sanctioned jurisdictions are not offered any Slop-funded programme. The Trough is governed by the Terms of Service.
